They graduated from Boston College in 1998, then moved cross country to McMinnville, Oregon. In McMinnville, they were lucky enough to be able to work at Allison’s family winery, Panther Creek Cellars. There, they made wine, built a tasting room, and started using something called “email” to bring people into the tasting room to sell wine. They convinced the winemaker to use an online chatroom to connect with customers. They installed the Willamette Valley’s first “crush cam”. Somewhere in there, they even got married (and had kids!).
Panther Creek sold in 2005, and Allison and Jeremy were immediately tapped by a handful of Willamette Valley wineries to show them the digital marketing strategies they had brought to Panther Creek. From there, a wine marketing agency was born.
While many of the tools have changed, Allison and Jeremy’s unique ability to connect wineries to its customers, along with their many years of hands on winery experience, is why Lunabean Media is one of the most successful wine marketing agencies in the country.
